the jug decorated with Apollo holding a lyre, the ewer with five dancing nymphs holding laurel garlands and a sunburst on the hinged lid, both decorated overall with trailing vines and laurel leaves in gold on a black ground, the underside of the ewer's lid bearing the metal label of RECOQUILLION RUE DES BOUCHERS A BRUXELLES

Condition

Highly decorative and charming, in good original condition. The painted decoration to both is atmospherically rubbed, and has some minor losses, but the figures remain strong and vivid. The larger ewer's handle is slightly loose. The inscription on the plaque to the larger ewer is legible and in good condition.
