Description

  • verre eglomisé, gilt bronze
  • 68.5cm. high, 62cm. wide, 34cm. deep; 2ft. 3in., 2ft. ½in., 1ft. 1½in.
the top with a central medallion painted with a scene of figures at a river crossing in a mountainous landscape within a blue rosette and gilt scroll border on a simulated red porphyry ground, the frame with a pierced palmette gallery above a double frieze of vine leaves and berries over stylised scrolls, raised on X-shaped acanthus leaf supports headed by winged swan's heads and joined by acanthus and lotus leaf decorated turned stretcher, the floriform feet raised on castors

Condition

This charming table is in good original condition, the eglomisé top with very minor losses, especially to the border, which are hardly noticeable. Very attractive and ready to be placed.
