- gilt bronze
- each 73cm. high; 2ft. 4¾in.
with a bronze allegorical figure of Fame blowing her trumpet in the form of a scrolling candlearm terminating in an upturned mask nozzle and holding two similar candlearms in her other hand, on a sphere and a flared triangular pedestal with anthemia, classical vases with scrolls and grapes on winged paw feet on a concave triangular Campana marble base, sold together with a pair of North European giltwood bases, circa 1825
Condition
These elegant candelabra are in very good condition, with minor marks consistent with age and use. The marble bases with small repairs and chips to marble bases; the giltwood plinths in reasonable condition, with minor losses to gilding and repairs to the crest corners. Of good quality and very decorative effect.
