Provenance
Acquired from a French family whose ancestors were directors of the Compagnie des Indes Orientales in the 18th century.
Condition
This very decorative panel is in good condition, displaying attractive craquelure and rich gilding. It does have one horizontal crack to the lower section which is not very visible and can be improved. There are minor marks and the frame is scuffed to the corners, with a dent to the left-hand side. A very handsome piece.
