the box and the cover modelled in the form of two books, the surface painted with a cornucopia of flowers, the interior containing four similar boxes containing mother of pearl gaming counters

Condition

The box and cover and boxes in the interior are generally in good condition, but there is some cracking to the lacquer to the exterior upper and lower surfaces that are consistent with age. There is also some slight wear to the gilt lacquer to the upper surface and sides.
