- Framed: 119cm. high, 107cm. wide; 3ft. 11in., 3ft. 6in.; Textile visible: 103cm. high, 92cm. wide; 3ft. 4in., 3ft.
worked in polychrome silk threads with small figures on the river bank with landscape extending beyond, mounted within a carved giltwood glazed frame
Condition
Colour of photograph in catalogue is a little too yellow. More attractive and natural greens in reality.
Very finely and delicately worked. Embroidery with discolouration to colour in sky generally. Loose tension in lower corners. Textile panel is in overall very good condition.
The frame has a small chip in the lower left corner, visible on vertical outer edge.
Very decorative within it's gilded and glazed frame. Versatile size. Large, but not enormous.
