Condition

The sheet appears sound. The lower and left edges of the sheet are deckled. There are some light creases around the edges of the sheet in one or two places, some of which may be inherent to the sheet, and only visible when viewed out of the frame. There are some small spots of surface matter and staining to a small area of the leftmost tree trunk and surrounding sky, and to a small area of the rightmost tree trunk and surrounding sky, in the upper half. There is some light studio detritus around the edges of the sheet, visible when viewed out of the frame. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in very good overall condition, with fresh and bright colours throughout. The work is presented in a dark wooden frame, float mounted against a cream backing card and held behind glass. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
