Not examined out of the frame. The sheet appears to have been affixed to the backing card with several tabs, but is not fully laid down. The top edge is deckled, and the other three edges have been cut slightly unevenly, thought to be in keeping with the artist's materials. The sheet undulates in places, most apparent around the edges of the work, but otherwise the sheet appears sound. There is an extremely tiny nick to the centre of the right vertical edge. There is a slight crease apparent to the centre of the left vertical edge, with some associated wear. There is a slight diagonal surface scuff running through the apple and onto the purple pigment surrounding it in the lower left quadrant. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in very good overall condition. The work is float mounted and presented in a painted wooden frame.
