Condition

Not examined out of the frame. The sheet appears to be affixed to the backing card in several places. The sheet appears sound. The upper edge of the sheet is perforated, consistent with the sheet having been removed from the Artist's sketchbook. There is a very small tear towards the right side of the lower horizontal edge, and a horizontal crease in the upper left corner, and some light handling marks in places. There is some discolouration towards the edges of the sheet and some very small, scattered spots of foxing. There are one or two instances of light surface dirt and studio detritus. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in good overall condition. The work is float mounted and presented in a gilt wooden frame, held under glass. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
