Condition

In overall good condition - a crack on the coconut above the boats - the inside and upper part of the neck gilt - the inside screw in the foot modern - regarding the finial the upper part of the bow might be missing.

Catalogue Note

Maarten Tromp (1598-1653) est un amiral hollandais, appelé dans son pays le "héros des mers". Il défit une importante flotte espagnole, mettant fin à l'hégémonie maritime de ce pays. Plusieurs vaisseaux hollandais portèrent son nom. Il fut tué à la bataille de Schveningen le 10 août 1653 après avoir mis en déroute la flotte anglaise.
