In overall good condition - Clearly marked on the neck except date letter a bit difficult to read - the cover with legible maker's mark and lion passant - traces of gilding inside the cover - attractive piece

Francis Garthorne est un des orfèvres les plus réputés du XVIIe siècle en Angleterre et fut un des orfèvres de la famille royale. Ce modèle de saupoudroir dit en forme de phare est un des premiers connus en orfèvrerie anglaise.
