Catalogue Note
Les armoiries sont celles de Louis-Léon Pajot, comte d'Ons en Bray, dont il existe un portrait par Oudry au cabinet des estampes du musée du Louvre. Receveur général des postes, il fut le principal associé de la société Pajot et Rouillé, membre de l'Académie des Sciences. Sa collection d'instruments fut léguée à cetet académie et ensuite distribuée entre le conservatoire des Arts et Métiers, l'Observatoire de Paris et le muséum d'Histoire Naturelle.
