Condition

In good overall condition. There are no major damages or areas of loss, the paint surface does have a pronounced craquelure. The gold appears to be original and in nice condition. The red ground is visible in parts where the gold has worn. The punch work is very crisp and detailed. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals some minor scattered retouchings, the main concentration of which is in the right side of the saints face and in the right of the infants chest and in the adjacent sleeve of the Madonna. Offered unframed.
