the first example, maker’s mark only struck thrice, once to the lid and twice to the body, possibly of Alonso Portillo, Astorga, and engraved with a gothic inscription 
the second example with maker’s mark only struck once (NO/…ER) and engraved: EGO SVM PANIS VI [I am the Bread of Life] and with detachable Crucifix

Condition

first: traces of gilding along rim, splits long engraved letters, visible from inside. minor dents overall but other good condition, rim cover slightly creased. Traces of mark on cover. Second: cross not fitting properly, rim sligtly bent, especially to one side. minor dents overall commensurate with age, but overall good condition.
