  • ivory, in a silver gilt frame with a mirror on the reverse

Condition

Overall the condition of the ivory is good, with some wear and minor dirt to the surface consistent with age. There is some rubbing to the carving at the high points, including the face, proper right hand, and breasts. There is a minor stable hairline split to the ivory at the top left running down the upper branches of the tree. There appears to be a small chip to Diana's drapery at her proper right side. There is some wear to the gilt silver frame, including minor tarnishing and a few nicks. There is some tarnishing to the mirror. The item is accompanied by a modern leather, cream satin and red velvet box, which is in very good condition with minor wear.
