- Relief with the Virgin and Child supported by angels
- alabaster, with a green silk covered wood mount

by repute, discovered during excavations at the Dom Church, Utrecht
Condition
There are two restored horizontal breaks to the alabaster relief; one just below the face of the angel on the right and one around the legs of the angels. There are minor abrasions to the high points throughout. There are a few chips along the edges, notably to Christ's halo on the left side and to the angel's wing on the right. There is particular dirt to the back. There are two drilled holes to the reverse with which the relief was attached to the mount; it is now loose. Otherwise the condition is good, with minor dirt and wear.
There is wear to the silk lining on the mount throughout, in particular around the edges.
