Condition
The panel is cradled, the paint surface is quite dirty and the varnish is slightly discoloured. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals a thin line of rather discoloured retouching to an old vertical split running the length of the panel, approx. 10 cm. from the right margin. The milky varnish, which fluoresces opaquely under ultraviolet light, makes it difficult to discern other previous restoration, but the painting appears to be otherwise largely untouched. In overall good condition.
