Description

  • Jacques de Gheyn III
  • Three studies of a left hand
  • Three studies of a left hand
  • Pen and brown ink, within brown ink framing lines

Condition

Hinge mounted by the upper edge. The iron gall ink appears to have eaten away at tiny areas of the sheet, as is evident from the small repairs to the verso. Likewise the ink has very fractionally sunk into the sheet, though the image remains strong and the medium predominantly fresh throughout. Sold in a modern simulated dark wood frame.
