- Flemish School, circa 1600
- Study of a standing figure holding a sword and shield
- Pen and brown ink and grey wash;
inscribed across the upper margin: Carolus(?) Weriens. and numbered, lower right: 8
Condition
Hinge mounted to the left edge. There is an old repaired tear to the lower left corner and a small nick to the same area. The sheet has very slightly discolored and there are areas of surface dirt and minor stains throughout. The medium itself remains strong throughout.
