Exhibited
London, Royal Academy, The Paul Oppé Collection, 1958, no. 446
Condition
Hinge mounted along the left edge. There are three strips of old adhesive tape to the lower left and right edges, presumably as a result of old tears to these areas. There is an old diagonal crease running across the lower half of the sheet and much wrinkling and some small nicks and tears to the four edges. The sheet is foxed throughout, both recto and verso. The pen and ink medium remains predominantly strong throughout this fascinating working drawing.
