Condition
In overall good conserved condition. Colour of gilding more golden and more natural and attractive than in the catalogue photograph. Joints sound and sturdy. Some very minor chips, rubbing and surface dirt to the gilding which can easily be cleaned off commensurate with age and normal usage. There are some construction cracks at the joints and some scattered age cracks which can easily be filled or left. Evidence of old minor worm which appears to be no longer active. There is a recently restored break to the support on the right arm when facing leaving a slight gap which would benefit from bring filled and the gilding touched up. The back is undecorated which is normal and the rear rail has possibly been replaced. There is evidence of some very minor restorations to the carving on the reverse on the rear rail of the back which are hardly noticeable.
