Description

  • walnut, pine, poplar
  • 278cm. high, 124cm. wide, 54.5cm. deep; 9ft. 1½in.,4ft. ¾in., 1ft. 9½in.
in three sections, with a swan neck pediment above a door enclosing a shelf above a fall-front enclosing six deep drawers, the lower section with a door enclosing a shelf on later paw feet, the whole with raised rectangular mouldings

Condition

In overall good conserved condition. Old marks chips and scratches commensurate with age and normal usage. Some old minor restorations to the veneer. Some very minor losses to the mouldings e.g towards the rear edge left side of middle section.There are some construction cracks generally in the panels which is normal and can be easily filled or left. There colour is slightly uneven and the piece would benefit from a repolish according to taste. The lower door has been rebacked. There is a section on the front edge of the lower part which has suffered from worm damage in the past which appears to be no longer active. The feet have been reblocked. Secret drawers missing internally.
