Condition
In overall good conserved condition. The marble tops are slightly dirty and would benefit from a light clean according to taste. There are old minor marks and chips to both marble tops with some areas of infill and patching. One of the tops has a restoration towards the rear right side which has left some losses and discoloration and would benefit from some further attention.
There are some very minor losses to the veneer especially along the edge of the top and one of the commodes (the one in the background)has more veneer losses than the other especially on one of the feet and apron but this can easily be restored. The veneer has old minor restorations and scattered age cracks which is normal and can be left. There are construction cracks in the side panels where it joins the stiles which show evidence of previous restoration some of which are opening up again in places but these are not too noticeable. The mounts have lost their gilding but can easily be regilded.
