Oblong folio, 70 albumen prints (each approximately 226 x 280mm., or the reverse), mounted on card, recto and verso, each with a printed caption on the mount, some titled in the negative, contemporary red morocco gilt, gilt edges, upper cover with gilt tooled presentation “Photographs / New South Wales / for his Excellency Prince Bismarck / from / the Government of New South Wales", including photographs of Princess Albert Statue, Government House, Colonial Secretaries Office, Australian Museum, Town Hall, Sidney University, St. Paul's College, St. John's College, Captain Cook's Statue, Botanic Gardens, Jenolan Caves, Argyle Cutting, Double Bay, Naval Sham-Fight, The Detached Squadrum, Saddle Cutting, G. S. Railway, Picton Viaduct, The Valley Blue Mountains, Menangle River, Vale of Avoca, Emu Plains, Coast Scene near Kiama, Fitzroy Falls, Knapsack Gully Viaduct, Katoomba Falls, Valley of the Grose, Trial Bay, Nepean River, Govett's River, Mount Victoria; together with a leather brief folder 

Condition

Overall in good original condition. The red tooled exterior with some minor scuffs and losses but secure. The images are all of a good quality but the paper has some signs of foxing. Ready to place.
