with a gilt-bronze three-quartergalleried top above a pull-out velvet lined writing slide above two serpentine short drawers, one fitted for writing implements, the whole inlaid with floral sprays within strapwork cartouches on cabriole legs, the back plain veneered in rosewood, terminating in gilt-bronze scrolled feet

In overall good conserved condition. One gilt-bronze scroll foot is off but present and can easily be reattached. There is a gap where the gallery meets the rear right side when facing. Some old very minor restorations to the veneer. There is a horizontal construction crack in both sides which can easily be filled or left. The back is a little warped with an old minor restoration to the veneer at the base of the knee mount on the back.
