each decorated on the exterior with two shaped panels, one enclosing a phoenix and the other with a mythical beast, one on a ground with horses among waves, the other on a ground of flowering lotus, the covers similarly decorated
Condition
Both jars with minor glaze erosion as characteristic of shipwreck ceramics, one jar with a slightly more affected interior rim. There are minor glaze firing imperfections like iron spots and burst glaze bubbles to both.
