Description

  • circa 3-12cm height
comprising: six circular boxes with covers; four baluster and four bulbous jars with covers; two stemcups; and two mustard pots with covers, variously decorated with landscape scenes and flowering trees

Provenance

Mustard pots: The Vung Tao Cargo, Christie's Amsterdam, 7th April 1992, lot 239.
The rest: The Hatcher Collection, Christie's Amsterdam, June 1984 and February 1985.

Condition

There are minor rim chips to several boxes and covers, and at least two of the jarlets. The mustard pots with minor crazing to the glaze around the body. All with eroded glaze as characteristic of shipwreck ceramics.
