Description

  • Old Sheffield Plate
  • 72.4cm., 28 1/2 in. long
rectangular with curved corners, raised foliate scroll embellished border, the scrolling handles embellished in a similar manner, on four oak shell embellished bracket feet, the centre engraved with a European coat-of-arms among foliate scrolls and cornered by four shells

Condition

One corner is bruised and bent downwards slightly. The centre is a little springy, coat-of-arms probably engraved later. Copper showing to high points but generally good condition for age.
