Description

  • 22.5cm., 8 7/8 in wide overall
oval, engraved with a medallion of St Margareta and inscribed: MARIA GERTRUDIS, handles applied with putto head within pierced scrollwork, traces of maker's mark, 20th century Dutch control mark,

Condition

The makers mark 'DP[F]' conjoined. One handle bent down slightly, initials defaced to underside. Some wear, especially to handles, scratches and pin-hole dents commensurate with age, crisp engraving. Nice patina.
