each gilt and enamelled at the centre with the coat-of-arms of a Province, framed by two pairs of birds in flight amidst peony and chrysanthemum blooms, the lobed well and foliate rim with lappet-shaped panels variously enclosing figures and vases of flowers, all reserved on a foliate diaper ground, comprising of five medium sized dishes and seven smaller
Condition
The twelve plates all have minor rim frits and nibbles to the footrings, rubbing and loss to the black painted decoration; in addition the Nameur dish has two 4cm., long hairline rim cracks, the Meggelen dish has a 6cm., hairline rim crack, the Limburgh dish has been broken in half and repaired, the Luxenburgh dish has a hairline crack across the base, the Brabandt dish has a 3.5cm., hairline rim crack and the Limburgh dish has a 2cm., firing crack to the base.
