- Pottery
of eight sided fluted form painted in the 'cashmire' palette with two putti holding up a basket of fruit and flowers from a leaping hound, flanked on either side by a large bird amongst flowering prunus, comprising a central ovoid vase and cover surmounted with a lion finial and two flanking vases, 48.2cm., 19in. and 64.5cm., 25 3/8 in. high, together with a pair of eight sided fluted vases and covers, 50.5cm.,19 7/8 in. high, and a baluster vase and cover, 50cm., 19 3/4 in. high
Condition
Garniture, central vase with small repaired chip at foot and two areas of old flaking over-paint at rim of cover, a flanking vase with network of repaired cracks to top, probably segmented sections, the other flanking vase with rim chip;
baluster vase, section of rim of cover broken and re-attached with old repair;
one of the pair of eight-sided vases with a section of foot repaired, and glaze loss to body, the other with a footrim chip, one cover with rim crack and glaze flake to finial
overall scattered typical glaze flakes.
