Condition
The canvas has not been lined. There is a circa 1cm tear towards the bottom left corner, visible stretcher marks along the four edges and minor hairline craquelure. Two very small pinholes are visible respectively on the top and lower stretcher mark. Ultra-violet light reveals areas of uneven fluorescence throughout and no sign of retouching. The work could benefit from some restoration.
Presented in a decorative gilt frame.
