rectangular, chequered engine-turning, the lid engraved with the town arms of Augsburg, the lid interior with a  presentation inscription dated 1876, leaf thumbpiece, maker's mark and control mark

According to the inscription, offered to Max Joseph Bacher, Surgeon, by the State Magistrate of Augsburg, June 1876 for 25 years of service.
