the first example, Geneva, circa 1815, rectangular, the wavy engine-turned lid centred by a medallion with a urn on a matted ground, the sides and base similarly engine turned, the borders chased with scrolling foliage on the lid, chevron pattern on the sides, on a matted ground, Geneva 18ct carat, 1815-1881 and later Dutch control mark ; the second example, Emanuel Münzberg, Vienna, circa 1815, rectangular with cut corners, the lid and base chased with two dolphins among scrolls flanking a trident on a matted ground, within snake and scroll borders, the sides chased with husks, the lid interior with cartouche engraved: 'Don de l'empereur d'Autriche / 1816', maker's mark, Vienna town mark and later French import marks

both in good condition, the Vienna example: slight dents to lid interior.
