Description

  • A Swiss yellow goldĀ minuteĀ repeating pocket watch with day date perpetual calendar and moon phases, C.1900
  • gold, enamel, gilt metal
  • 53mm diameter
nickel finished lever movement, bi-metallic compensation balance, repeating on two gongs; white enamel dial, Roman numerals, outer minute track, perpetual calendar with leap year indication at XII, date indication at III, moon phase with subsidiary seconds at VI, day indication at IX; gold cuvette marked Boxell, Brighton, numbered 15946; gold plain case back, repeating activated by slide to band 

Condition

Movement not working at the time of cataloguing. Dial with significant damage and obvious signs of repair. Crack between XII and I, III and IV and between date and calendar dials. Date indication with hand missing and damage to center. Case with scuffs and scratches. Case back center has been replaced and solder is visible to the inside case back.
