with a later shaped rosso antico marble top above a tapering bombé stem with scrolled acanthus cast corbels flanking a scrolled cartouche with a tapering finial, the gilt-bronze cast with leaves and rocaille on a stippled ground
Condition
In overall good conserved condition. There is a watermark on the rosso antico top which can easily be polished out. The gilt-bronze is rather dirty and would benefit from a light clean according to taste. There are some very minor losses and infill to the diaspro but this is not too noticeable. There are some old minor restorations to the diaspro and lapis lazuli generally. The finial has possibly been restored.
