Condition
Measurements: 404cm across the top and bottom edges, 493cm up the left side, and 505cm up the right side.
Colour not as startling as in the catalogue photograph. Ground is creamier in appearance in reality and not as white. Pile generally good overall typical coarse weave of carpets of this period and region The cream/ivory coloured ground has small dark flecks showing which are part of the weave. Original side cords, flatweave end guard at lower end, with fringing, and top end guard lacking flatweave, not overlocked and there are losses, with some loss extending into the cream pile in sections. Deep pile. Strong analine dyes. Some spot stains. Needs a thorough clean. Good size. Usable in a drawing room or dining room.
