with a bowed top with a canted back painted to simulate marble, the stem carved with scrolling acanthus on a shaped plinth one with a paper label inscribed in ink 2286? and ink inscribed I , the other 2280 and 10

Condition

In overall good conserved condition. They are both slightly dirty and would benefit from a light clean according to taste. Evidence of old minor worm to the stems with some minor chips and losses to gliding. The base of one is a bit wobbly but can easily be stabilised. There are some old minor restorations to the carving of the stem but these have been well executed and are hardly noticeable and some minor losses and chips to the carving. The stem is 18th century, the base and top are later.
