A LARGE AND CRISP COPY. Muselli, a Veronese aristocrat and a friend of Scipione Maffei, assembled two substantial collections, one of coins, and one of antiquities. He wrote several works about his collections, but only these volumes were published; his manuscripts are now in the Biblioteca civica in Verona. More than 3,000 coins are illustrated in these volumes, though Muselli's collection numbered more than double.

This set of Muselli's works on numismatics and antiquities comprises the following volumes:

Regum Macedoniae, Aegypti, Syriae, aliorumque numismata; Nummi veteres populorum, et urbium; Imperatorum, Augustarum, atque Caesarum, et tyrannorum numismata (1752), 2 volumes, one of plates, one of text. Plate volume: engraved portrait of Friedrich Christian of Saxony, 3 engraved section-titles, engraved plate showing coin sizes, 11+25+145 engraved plates. Text volume (dated 1750 in colophon): 4 engraved section-titles (the same as in the plate volume, plus Numismata anterioribus addenda), engraved illustration, without blank leaf c3 in index, index leaves all extended in margins to match rest of book

The plates and vignettes are by Dionisio Valesi and Domenico Cunego, who worked for the Seminary Press in Verona and also produced engravings for publications by Maffei.
