Tang Kwok Hin

Tang Kwok Hin is a Hong Kong mixed media artist who also works as an
independent curator and writer. Born in 1983 in Hong Kong, he received his
Bachelor of Arts and Master of Fine Arts from The Chinese University of Hong
Kong in 2006 and 2008 respectively. His works explore the relationships
between art and society and focus on space, time and symbols to explore
hidden rules in daily life. Tang’s works comprises photographs of intricate
and imaginary landscapes with ready-made elements appropriated from
printed and electronic media and product labels. Tang’s work is fast gaining
recognition within the Hong Kong art scene and his works have been
collected by a variety of art organizations such as the Hong Kong Museum
of Art, Amelia Johnson Contemporary, Deutsche Bank and other private art
collectors around the world. In addition, Tang was also awarded the first prize
at the Hong Kong Contemporary Art Biennial, received the Hong Kong Arts
Development Award, and selected as a finalist for the Sovereign Asian Art
Prize as well as the 5th International Art Laguna Prize by MOCA.
