Catalogue Note

First edition of this explanation of Hua Shou's classic text on acupuncture, which was first published in 1341 (for a later edition, see lot 78). Ipposhi was a seventeenth-century author of popular compendiums of classic medical works but it is thought that he was not a physician himself.
