Catalogue Note

The text here is based on Estienne's magisterial edition of 1566 (it even retains some of the original typographic layout) and Crespin's of 1600; it was first published in this form in 1635. The editor Ralph Winterton (1601-1636) appends a list of important editions of classical texts at the end of the volume, which gives the date, printer and format of the editions.
