Provenance

Alphonse le Cavelier (1800-1872), a bibliophile from Caen, by family descent to the present owner; Liebe: A. Durand, bookseller's label on inside front cover

Le Cavelier's library was catalogued on his death by his friend Emile Travers, and about two thirds of it was sold in Paris in 1894-1895 by Maurice Delestre.
