Catalogue Note
An attractive and touchingly humorous poem for Jakob Demus (born 9 June 1959), son of one of Celan's closest friends, the art historian and writer Klaus Demus. Jakob became a celebrated artist, noted for his diamond drypoint etchings. One of his earliest teachers was the graphic artist Gisèle Celan-Lestrange, who married Celan in 1952.
