Catalogue Note
These are the complete orchestral parts to Grieg's Piano Concerto, one of the best-loved works in the concert repertory.
There is no copy in the British Library, and we have not traced any in German libraries. The copy in the Pierpont Morgan Library apparently lacks the horn parts present here. There is no solo piano part in this set; that was advertised and priced separately on the title page, as was the score. Also included in this lot are the orchestral parts for the "Orchestersuite" from Peer Gynt Op.46 (27 parts, Leipzig: Peters, 1888, [Fuld, p.424]), and for Franz Ries's Romanze und Scherzo Op.27
