Catalogue Note
FIRST EDITION of Haller's Icones anatomicae. The book is remarkable for the range and quality of its illustrations, depicting all the arteries of the human body as well as the various organs. "Although nearly ten different engravers prepared plates for the book, the plates are all of high quality and are clear, artistic and exact renditions of their subjects" (Eimas p.301).
