Catalogue Note
Homer's original text is distinguished from Didymus's commentary by the use of capital letters. While the first volume is lacking the final section of text, all of Didymus's text is complete.
There is a note on the flyleaf stating that this was bound by Roger Payne for Sir John Hayford Thorold, but the copy of this work in the Syston Park sale was bound in green morocco.
