Catalogue Note
EDITIO PRINCEPS of many of the letters, including those of Isocrates, Aeschines, Chion and Apollonius of Tyana. The irregular quiring indicates that some of the letters were added during the printing, based on Gabriele di Brisighella's 1498 edition of the letters of Phalaris (Goff P545; see lot 123).
