Condition

The sculpture appears sound. There is some minor rubbing to the protruding edges of the bronze in places. There are some areas of rubbing to the patina in places, most apparent to the vertical elements on either side of the figure's face, the rim of the hat, and to the torso and back. There are one or two minor casting imperfections apparent to the figure's back. There is some light surface dirt and some traces of casting residue, and one or two traces of minor oxidisation. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in very good overall condition. The sculpture is freestanding. There are two screwholes at the centre of the front and back edges for the work to be attached to a base. There are four foam cushioning strips adhered around the edges of the base, and the remnant of an adhesive label in the centre of the underside of the base.
