Condition

The canvas has an old re-line to it, and has probably been trimmed in the past. This is visible in part to the extreme edges when viewed out of the frame. There is a small, isolated area of craquelure down the left hand edge, in line with the stretcher bar. There is some minor surface dirt and possible staining to an old varnish, most visible to the areas towards the extreme edges. This excepting the work appears in good overall condition. Ultraviolet light reveals areas of fluorescence and probable retouching throughout the work. Housed in a thick, dark painted wooden frame.
